Senior Java Developer (Southern California) - MOGEL

This role requires deep full-stack experience, architectural leadership, and the ability to guide Agile teams delivering enterprise-grade solutions. Key Responsibilities Lead architecture and technical strategy across complex software projects Actively contribute to full-stack development (Java, Node.js, Vue.js) Translate business needs into clear, actionable technical plans Create architecture diagrams and documentation Design AWS infrastructure based on project needs (sizing, services, cost-efficiency) Build proof-of-concepts to evaluate new technologies or solutions Guide Agile teams and ensure high-quality, secure deliveries Stay updated on modern frameworks, tools, and cloud solutions Required Skills & Experience 8+ years of hands-on software development experience Strong experience with: Java, Node.js or Vue.js Strong experience with AWS (Lambdas, OpenSearch, DynamoDB, infrastructure sizing) Strong experience in large-scale or enterprise development Agile/Scrum delivery experience Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, and secure systems design Excellent communication skills (technical + business) Strong skills in architectural diagramming and documentation Good understanding of networking (CDNs, proxies, load balancing) Expertise in APIs, microservices, and cloud-based integrations Preferred Qualifications AWS certifications Experience mentoring or leading technical team Equal Opportunity Employer MOGEL and our clients are committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants.
