An established renewable energy technology provider is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support the installation, commissioning, fault diagnosis, and long‑term performance of commercial and industrial solar PV and energy storage systems. Key Responsibilities: Provide on‑site commissioning, troubleshooting, and technical support for commercial and industrial solar PV and battery energy storage systems Diagnose and resolve faults on string and hybrid inverters, PCS, battery interfaces, and associated balance‑of‑plant equipment Support including firmware configuration, communications setup, and monitoring integration Conduct reactive and planned maintenance visits, including root‑cause analysis and corrective actions Interpret electrical drawings, single‑line diagrams, and protection schemes Support remote technical diagnostics and escalations from monitoring platforms Liaise with EPCs, installers, and clients to resolve commissioning and performance issues Produce clear site reports, service documentation, and technical feedback Assist with training installers and partners on best practices and troubleshooting Ensure all activities are completed in line with health, safety, and quality standards Provide technical feedback to engineering and product teams to improve system reliability Required Skills & Experience: Background as a Field Service Engineer, Commissioning Engineer, or Service Technician within solar PV or power electronics Hands‑on experience with commercial and industrial solar systems (100 kW–multi‑MW scale preferred) Strong working knowledge of three‑phase electrical systems Experience working with string inverters Familiarity with battery energy storage systems (BESS) and hybrid inverter architectures Ability to fault‑find using electrical test equipment and monitoring platforms Comfortable working independently in the field and managing multiple sites Strong communication skills with technical and non‑technical stakeholders Qualifications: Electrical qualification or equivalent technical training Relevant electrical safety certifications Full, clean driving licence Working Conditions Field‑based role with regular travel to customer sites Occasional overnight stays and out‑of‑hours support where required Mix of on‑site, remote diagnostics, and occasional office or traini...
