Job Duties Prepares and reviews financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards and non-profit regulations Manages month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and journal entries Assists with implementation of new accounting policies and procedures relevant to non-profit organizations Supports clients with technical accounting issues and provides recommendations, including grant and fund accounting Coordinates with internal and client teams to ensure timely and accurate deliverables Identifies opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, donor restrictions, and internal controls Participates in special projects and ad hoc assignments as needed Other duties as required Supervisory Responsibilities N/A Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Education Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, required Experience Three (3) or more years of experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable, required Experience in public accounting or professional services, preferred Experience with AP/AR process improvement and automation, preferred License(s)/Certification(s) CPA, preferred Software Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, required Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle, preferred Language N/A Other Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong client service orientation Knowledge of AP/AR best practices and internal controls Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.
