The Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain scalable web and mobile applications usingTypeScript, PHP, and/or Java, contributing to high-impact platforms across a dynamic digital ecosystem.Essential FunctionsSoftware Development & ImplementationDesign, develop, and maintain web and mobile applications using TypeScript, PHP, and/or Java.Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to deliver high-quality, user-centric solutions aligned with business and ministry goals.Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code while following industry best practices.Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development standards.Build and maintain integrations with APIs and third-party services.Technical Problem Solving & OptimizationMonitor application performance and implement enhancements to ensure reliability, scalability, and security.Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely and effective manner.Stay current with emerging technologies, tools, and frameworks relevant to TypeScript, PHP, and Java development.Non-Essential FunctionsPerform other duties as assigned.Requirements & QualificationsEducationBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.Experience2–4 years of professional software engineering experience, with a focus on TypeScript, PHP, or Java development.Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesChristian ministry and mission-driven work.Proficiency in one or more of the following languages: TypeScript, PHP, Java.Experience with front-end frameworks (React, Angular) and/or back-end frameworks (Laravel, Spring).Familiarity with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and RESTful APIs.Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.Preferred (Not Required)Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.Experience in media, nonprofit, or ministry-focused organizations.Leadership or mentoring experience within techn...

[Applicants: Over 200 applicants | Industry: Non-profit Organizations | Type: Full-time | Level: Mid-Senior level] Senior DevOps EngineerOverviewWe are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with deep AWS expertise to help scale and optimize our infrastructure and deployment processes. This is not a basic infrastructure role — we need someone who can architect robust systems, drive automation, optimize cloud costs, and lead the organization toward zero-downtime deployments.A key focus of this role is improving engineering performance, with Lead Time to Change as the #1 delivery metric.Key ResponsibilitiesArchitect, implement, and manage production-grade AWS environments.Develop and maintain infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Terraform, Pulumi, AWS CloudFormation, AWS CDK (Cloud Development Kit)Design and optimize CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions preferred).Implement deployment strategies that enable minimal to zero downtime.Drive cloud cost management and optimization initiatives.Build and enhance automated testing frameworks and QA automation within the CI/CD lifecycle.Improve reliability, scalability, observability, and system performance.Partner with engineering teams to reduce lead time to change and increase deployment frequency.Establish DevOps best practices across environments.Required Qualifications5+ years of DevOps or platform engineering experience.Strong hands-on AWS experience in production environments.Advanced experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation, AWS CDK).Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions preferred).Strong understanding of deployment strategies (blue/green, canary, rolling deployments).Experience with automated testing frameworks and QA automation.Proven ability to optimize cloud costs and improve infrastructure efficiency.Strong understanding of reliability engineering and high-availability systems.Preferred QualificationsAWS Certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, etc.) — preferred but not required.Experience working with DORA metrics.Experience supporting high-growth or high-scale environments.What Success Looks LikeReduced lead time to change.Fully automated, reliable CI/CD pipelines.Minimal or zero downtime during deployments.Cost-efficient and scalable AWS infrastructure.Increased deployment frequency with high system reliability.
