Analytics Engineer / Data Engineer (Zagreb)

Your Role We are looking for an Analytics/Data Engineer (hybrid) to take end-to-end ownership of our analytics data stack. Your Responsibilities Own the analytics layer end-to-end, from raw data to analytics-ready datasets Build and maintain Python-based data pipelines to extract and load data from core internal and external systems Design, implement, and maintain dbt models that produce clean, well-structured datasets for analytics and reporting Apply solid data modeling principles (facts, dimensions, slowly changing dimensions where appropriate) without over-engineering Write high-quality, maintainable SQL with a strong focus on correctness and clarity Take responsibility for data quality through tests, sanity checks, and lightweight monitoring Work directly with decision-makers to clarify metrics, definitions, and reporting needs Make pragmatic architectural decisions for the data stack with a long-term perspective Document data models, metrics, and assumptions to ensure shared understanding and trust Your Profile Several years of experience working as an analytics engineer or data engineer in production environments Very strong SQL skills and a deep understanding of analytical data modeling Strong Python skills for data extraction and pipeline development Hands-on experience with dbt Core Solid understanding of how to run data pipelines reliably Comfortable taking end-to-end ownership with clear expectations and a high degree of autonomy Strong judgment when bala...
