Data Scientist (AI Engineering)

We’re looking for a Data Scientist with a strong AI Engineering focus to design, build, and deploy machine learning solutions that deliver real, measurable impact across our products. Key Responsibilities Design and deploy AI‑driven features in collaboration with product and engineering teams Build, deploy, and maintain production‑ready ML services Monitor model performance, reliability, and accuracy in production Perform data analysis, feature engineering, and model optimisation Apply modern ML techniques, including transformer‑based architectures Stay across emerging AI/ML trends and identify opportunities for application Contribute to Agile delivery through planning and continuous improvement Skills & Experience Strong foundation in Machine Learning and AI Advanced Python skills Demonstrated hands‑on experience with PyTorch and/or TensorFlow Experience deploying ML models to production environments Hands‑on experience with transformer-based architectures and libraries Understanding of model evaluation, optimisation, and monitoring Experience working with SQL and structured data Demonstrated ability to learn new tools, programming languages, and technologies quickly Strong problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration skills Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Data Science, IT, or equivalent experience Our ideal candidate will also have: Experience with MLOps (versioning, monitoring, automated deployment) Experience with AWS, FastAPI, or Ray Serve Exposure to CNNs and large‑scale model training Postgraduate or industry research experience in ML Strong data wrangling skills (NumPy, Pandas, Jupyter) This is a hybrid schedule position with 3 days per week on-site at our Mulgrave office.
