This role is ideal for an early-career engineer who is passionate about building scalable automation solutions, improving software quality, and collaborating closely with developers in a CI/CD-driven environment.You will play a key role in developing reusable automation frameworks, supporting testing initiatives across multiple scopes, and contributing to reliable, high-quality software delivery that directly impacts federal healthcare services.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the design and development of scalable automation frameworks that are maintainable and reusable across teamsWrite and maintain reusable libraries, utilities, and automation scripts to improve engineering efficiencyCollaborate with developers, QA, and DevOps teams to enhance product quality and resolve defects through root cause analysisAssist in integrating testing and automation tools within CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliable and consistent deploymentsContribute to functional, integration, performance, and security testing efforts across applicationsHelp optimize test stages within CI/CD workflows to improve pipeline stability and test reliabilityFollow coding best practices and participate in code reviews to support a strong engineering cultureEvaluate new tools and technologies and provide recommendations for improving automation and testing processesRequired Qualifications1–3 years of experience in Software Engineering, QA Automation, or related development roleExperience with at least one programming language such as Python, Java, or JavaScriptBasic understanding of automation frameworks and software testing principlesFamiliarity with CI/CD concepts (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps, etc.)Experience working in Agile or Scrum environmentsStrong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn in a collaborative team settingPreferred QualificationsExposure to test automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar)Knowledge of REST APIs and basic integration testingFamiliarity with version control systems such as GitExperience in healthcare, federal, or regulated environments is a plusUnderstanding of software quality, test reliability, and debugging practices
