Job description
The position starts at the base office in Export, PA and then travels throughout the counties using a company vehicle.Position Summary:TheMother and Child Welfare Specialistworks to assist mothers in scheduling and attending well-baby appointments; assess infant and women care and home supports; monitor infant and pediatric developmental stages; and offer guidance, education and referrals to parents as appropriate to achieve positive support outcomes through home visiting.TheHome Visitorposition includes driving to the family home using an agency-provided vehicle for check in visits which cover topics such as: expectant mother and newborn baby health, education, nutrition, child growth and development, postpartum wellness, and well-baby follow-ups.The Maternal Health Specialist also provides documentation and reports related to their case management for the MCO's and supervisors.This position works Monday through Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm, with a vehicle provided.Qualifications:Associates Degreein Child Development, Human Services, Social Work, Early Childhood Education (or a related field such as Family Relations, Sociology, Women's Studies, etc)OR a High School Diploma plusa home-based CDAcredential or comparable credential.Demonstrate competency to plan and implement home-based learning experiences that ensure effective implementation of the home visiting curriculum and promote children’s progress.Knowledge in infant/toddler development/education/health/nutrition/safety as well as family dynamics and adult learning principles.Must be able to secure, within 90 days of hire, and maintain the basic first aid and pediatric CPR certification.
