Senior Accessibility & QA Automation Test Engineer

The Senior Accessibility & QA Automation Test Engineer operates independently, influences technical decisions, and raises the overall accessibility and quality maturity of Agile teams. Responsibilities Perform manual and automated functional testing of application code, APIs, and integrated services Execute non-functional testing, including performance and load testing, to validate system stability and capacity Conduct manual and automated accessibility testing throughout the software development lifecycle Validate conformance with WCAG 2.1 Level A and AA requirements and applicable federal accessibility standards Perform screen reader and keyboard-only testing using JAWS and NVDA Execute automated accessibility scans using tools such as axe, pa11y, and ANDI, and validate results through manual testing Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts aligned with user stories and acceptance criteria Integrate functional and accessibility tests into established CI/CD pipelines Ensure test results are documented, version-controlled, and reported through approved tools Clearly document defects, risks, and remediation guidance in issue-tracking systems Collaborate closely with developers, UX designers, product owners, and accessibility leads to resolve issues efficiently Participate fully in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives Proactively identify quality and accessibility risks and raise the...
