Senior System Engineer

This role is a blend ofTier 3 operational supportandspecial project work, ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, modernizing infrastructure, and automating their way out of repetitive work.This position plays a key role in supporting on-prem and public cloud systems, partnering closely with Network, Applications, and Security teams. The right candidate brings strong technical depth, sharp critical-thinking skills, and a disciplined approach to change management.What You’ll DoProvideTier 3 supportfor enterprise systems and infrastructure, including complex troubleshooting and root-cause analysisLead and contribute tospecial infrastructure projects, including cloud migrations and platform rolloutsSupport and administer Microsoft and virtualization technologies:Active DirectoryWindows ServerDNS, DHCPVMware (including VMC monitoring)Exchange 2019 and hybrid Exchange Online (O365)File servers and limited SQL Server configurationSupportpublic cloud environments, with a strong preference forOCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure); Azure, AWS, or GCP experience also applicableParticipate in enterprise-wide cloud migration initiativesPlan, document, and communicate infrastructure changes following change management best practicesDesign, implement, and supportDisaster Recovery and Business Continuityprocesses; participate in DR testingManage vendors for outsourced services and infrastructure projectsIdentify and plan preventive maintenance, patching, upgrades, and firmware updatesPartner with Network, Systems, Applications, and Security teams to ensure platform reliability and performanceSupport endpoint security, including anti-virus, web filtering, and email filtering, with a focus onvulnerability remediationMonitor and report on security metrics such as threat levels, vulnerabilities, and remediation timelinesEnsure compliance with security standards and regulatory requirementsParticipate in on-call rotation and occasional travel as neededTechnologies You’ll Work WithPublic Cloud:OCI (preferred), Azure, AWS, GCPVirtualization: VMwareMic...
